Versilia Yachting Rendez-vous 2018 Nautica Italiana

The second edition of the Versilia Yachting Rendez-vous, the event dedicated to high-end boating promoted by Nautica Italiana, was held in Viareggio from May 10 to 13, 2018. The event, capable of filling a body of water of more than 50,000 square meters with the best of Made in Italy shipbuilding, accessories and components, also presented a very high-profile calendar of events and conferences.

Developed by Nautica Italiana, the events in Versilia kicked off on May 10 at 3 p.m. with the SACE-SIMEST workshop (by invitation only) dedicated to export strategies for domestic shipyards, to continue on Friday 11 at 10:30 a.m. (conference room “Darsena Europa”) with the presentation of the Market Monitor developed in collaboration with Deloitte where, among other things, updated data on the performance of the Italian shipbuilding industry for 1Q 2018, the Market Sentiment Outlook for the coming years, and analysis on exports of Italian shipyards were presented. The Viareggio docks then hosted a Design Conference at Cantieri Benetti dedicated to “How design is changing living on land and on board.” Finally, on Saturday, May 12, it was the turn of the legislative roundtable titled “The Italian boating industry restarts: marinas and territories in comparison” scheduled for 3:30 p.m. in the Darsena Italia convention hall. The purpose of the roundtable was to advance the policy and legislative dialogue on the relationship between territories and Marines with practical examples and operational contextualization that only those involved in the day-to-day operation of the new Nautical Code can know.
